A mini-split heat pump system is a high energy-efficient means of providing heating and cooling. The system does not require ductwork like a traditional system. The outdoor condenser is connected to an indoor air handler unit that can be installed on a wall or ceiling. Multi-units can be installed throughout a home to provide heating and cooling as a primary or secondary source. It uses a reversible heat transfer cycle that allows the condenser and evaporator to serve dual purposes. Heat pumps are most efficient in moderate climates where heating and cooling loads are almost equal. In freezing temperatures, a heat pump requires an electric resistance heater to keep the outdoor coils from freezing.
Included in Cost: Includes dual heating and cooling electric heat pump system with outdoor condensers and indoor air handling units with adjustable thermostats, remote controls, mounting hardware, through wall conduit, fasteners, electrical connection, and installation labor.
Enter the percentage, between 0 and 100, of the home with mini-split heat pump heating and/or cooling system.
