The countertop is made of thin, high-quality, flat pieces of fired clay or imported, glazed porcelain tiles with a hand painted finish. The tiles are applied with cement or other adhesive and have grouted joints. Normally they are used for their durability, easiness to clean, and relatively waterproof finish.
