A custom, decorative, hand-painted, thin, and flat piece of fired clay or glazed porcelain tile that is applied to the wall with cement or other adhesive with grouted joints. Normally used for its durability, easiness to clean, and relatively waterproof finish. Ceramic tile comes in a wide variety of sizes, shapes and finishes. Cost represents an average of these styles. Assumes intricate ceiling configurations typical of high value homes such as skylights, cathedral, coffered, and domed ceilings.
Included in Cost: Custom, decorative, and hand-painted ceramic tiles, backer board, adhesive or thinset mortar, grout, and installation labor.
