Acoustic tiles glued or nailed to the ceiling structure directly, attached to furring strips that are fastened to the ceiling structure, or laid in a suspended grid system. Acoustic tiles are typically high quality, 2' x 2' or 2' x 4' that have an inherent property to absorb sound. The tiles are generally made of mineral fiber or some other similar insulated material. Assumes potential intricate ceiling configurations that can include skylights, cathedral, coffered, and domed ceilings.
Included in Cost: Acoustical tiles, furring strips, fasteners and/or adhesive and installation labor.
