Drywall, Textured

Interior ceiling consisting of drywall (also called plasterboard, sheetrock, gypsum board, or wallboard) that comes in sheets typically 4’ x 8' or larger. It is a hard, chalk-like material covered with paper on both sides that is applied over ceiling joists. A decorative texture is applied to the surface, that can be painted or finished in many ways. Assumes high quality taping and finishing of drywall before texturing is applied. Also assumes intricate ceiling configurations typical of high value homes such as skylights, cathedral, coffered, and domed ceilings.

Included in Cost: Drywall, tape, mud compound, corner bead, texturing such as orange peel, egg shell, splatter, skip trowel or knockdown, primer coat, plus two finish coats of paint, and installation labor.
