Retaining Wall, Gabion

An attached structure or wall built to hold back earth, soil, or loose rock, designed to resist lateral pressure and earth slide on unnatural slopes where there’s a need to change ground elevations. They are used to hold or bound earth and soils between two different elevations where the terrain has undesirable slopes or the landscaping requires severe shaping to hold it in place.
